System Integration and Testing

Emenu utilizes its in-depth knowledge and real-world experience with large programs such as Crusader, EFV, PATRIOT and THAAD to establish strategic Integration and Test processes. On the Crusader program, Emenu was able to solve many challenges that presented themselves to the arduous task of integrating such a huge platform. This included the creation and establishment of an integration tower for software development and use of Emenu teams that were deployed both in the development and integration environments. These teams worked together to ensure the newly developed software transitioned smoothly from development into integration, eliminating a “throw it over the fence” mentality that existed on the program.

Emenu utilizes a requirements-based approach to integrating products once they have gone through the development phase. In the case of software development, once the software has completed unit level testing, a first pre-integration phase is implemented at the component level using simulators and emulators. Once a product or product component has been integrated at the component level, it is combined with other products or product components and tested at a combined or system level. This technique saves cost and time because defects are purged at the lowest possible integration level.
