Responsible for coordination and fabrication activities associated with implementation of approved Engineering Changes and Engineering Test Notices. Assists hardware, software, and system engineers in determining optimal implementation approaches for ground terminal changes. Responsible for the evaluation, planning, procurement, coordination, and fabrication of ground terminal equipment and cables, following NASA and commercial processes and procedures. Primary responsibility is for equipment/ system support, with basic knowledge of system tactical employment and optimization. Document failures and corrective action in accordance with proper procedures Prepare and submit periodic status reports as required by operational procedures. Ability to maintain commitment to continued learning in order to meet career demands. Usually provides technical support while paired with other more experienced Field Engineers, yet may be required to operate independently on occasion. Interfaces with Internal Customers, department personnel, project team members; Limited independent interface with external customers.
Specific Knowledge BS Degree in a specific engineering or related technical field (e.g. BSEE, BSCS) and a minimum of one (1) year of progressively more responsible and directly related field engineering support experience, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
