Full Description:
Experienced implementation engineer to support all implementation efforts for a program providing extensive upgrades and new installations to existing, large NASA satellite ground station. Tasks may include electronic chassis fabrication and installation, cable and harness fabrication and installation, equipment modification, and equipment removal. Will support project I&T team in integration planning to help ensure precise, efficient, and non-impacting modifications to critical 24/7 operational system. Specific Knowledge BS Degree in a specific engineering or related technical field (e.g. BSEE, BSET) and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively more responsible and directly related implementation engineering support experience, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of five (5) years of experience is preferred. Implementation experience in satellite ground station or similar environment desirable. Present or past NASA or equivalent certification for implementation skills (e.g. solder) would be a plus, as would familiarity with utility power and other facility infrastructure. ****U.S. Citizenship is required due to a necessary security clearance.****
