Systems Engineer 4 - Job Description/Job Requirements: This requisition is for a senior level position with Northrop Grumman Information Systems, Technical Assistance Contract (TAC2), to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with program management, systems engineering, oversight of contractors performing software development for the FAA, transition planning and implementation, for the System Wide Information Management (SWIM) Program. The candidate will provide support for technical issues related to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services design, development, testing. Duties include the preparation of briefing materials, development of FAA business plans and activity goals, and tracking and reporting on related metrics. Software development oversight includes the ability to review technical documentation, development of deliverables and the technical planning for SOA implementation. This documentation includes but is not limited to: white papers, memorandum of agreement / understanding, technical procedures and operational concepts. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field plus a minimum of 10 years FAA systems engineering experience is required. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office tools suite is also required.
