Required Skills:
BS Degree in a technical field related to test engineering +9 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree desirable. The candidate must be knowledgeable about FPGA Design, ASIC Design, and be able to use Altera Quartus products in order to test and troubleshoot FPGA embedded circuitry and affiliated digital circuitry. The candidate must be knowledgeable with PC based FPGA Verification, Validation, and Troubleshooting Tools in order to test and demonstrate FPGA mezzanine card assemblies. The candidate must have the Technical Writing skills in order to create and lead in the generation of Hardware Test Plans, Hardware Test Procedures, and Hardware Test Reports. The candidate must be knowledgeable and trained in the Earned Value Management System in order to track and report on the schedule and budget status for all of the Hardware Test efforts.

These skills are a PLUS:
Though not required, knowledge of the LabView tool would be beneficial in order to ascertain any advantage gain in using an automatic test tool.

Full Description:
The candidate should be able to lead, direct, and write test plans, test procedures, and test reports for a digital/analog I/O module, its carrier card and all of its mezzanine cards. This job entails developing test specifications and design drawings for the test fixture that will be used to test this I/O module. The candidate should also have a good working knowledge of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, FPGA VHDL design code and be able to lead a small group of people through the testing phase of the I/O module. This job also entails keeping the design and testing efforts on schedule and within the budget of the assigned project.
