Required Skills:
Specific Knowledge
Engineering degree, preferable BSCS/EE, with a minimum 8 years of experience in Software Configuration Management, software development, or systems engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience administering ClearQuest, ClearCase, ClearCase Multi-Site, Rationale Rose, Requisite Pro, DOORs and/or Coverity Prevent. Knowledge and experience with additional Rational Suite tools and integration and testing experience is a plus. Soft skills to include schedule development and status, metrics tracking and analysis, and customer support. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills to support interaction with internal team and customer representatives. Desirable experience/knowledge includes: PC applications in an MS Windows 2000/XP environment, Unix, Perl, Korn shell, Visual Basic, Java, Test manager, Livelink, and SharePoint.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The Tools Support Engineer will assume a hands-on role defining and implementing an integrated tools suite to support the complete development life-cycle. The individual will work with task leads, developers, project managers and chief engineers to support requirements definition, design, implement, and test of the development life-cycle tools suite. This involves the integration of multiple commercial tools to provide an holistic and fully integrated development environment for the Engineering Department. This individual must have \\\"hands-on\\\" experience implementing or integrating multiple tools such as requirements management tools, CM tools, build and test management tools, and deployment solutions. In-depth knowledge of ClearCase and ClearCase Administration, Perforce experience also helpful. In-depth knowledge of ClearQuest and ClearQuest Administration, Bugzilla experience also helpful. Experience with Multi-Site and build and test management tools would also be very helpful. Experience should also include as many of the following as possible: Perl, C++ Java, .NET, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Application Servers. Daily Responsibilities: •Member of the Tools/Process Automation Engineering Sponsored Project. •Support trade studies of commercial products and processes. •Optimize processes and performance of existing tools to improve the quality and reduce the cycle time of systems and software development. •Ensure business continuity by ensuring VOB and VOB backup integrity. •Design, implement, and maintain build automation scripts. •Set-up and maintain build environments. •Manage source control system. •Track and co-ordinate releases across the development and Production servers. •Maintain ClearCase Multi-Site continuity across multiple sites. •Train users in development life-cycle tools and processes. •Collaborate with IT, Team Leads, and Management to implement and maintain enterprise-wide software development processes and tools. •Maintain up-to-date documentation on the tools operating manuals, policies, procedures and customizations. •Evaluate and recommend tools and services as needed. Candidate will also be responsible for the supporting Tool Admin proposals and management of ClearQuest schema, ClearCase and ClearCase Multi-Site. DOORs, Coverity Prevent skills desirable. Ideally, the candidate must have a demonstrated working knowledge of the configuration management process and software development process in an SEI CMM or CMMI environment. Demonstrate ability to propose and develop innovative ideas resolving business or project related issues.
