Full Description:
U.S. Citizenship is required due to a necessary security clearance. The candidate will be an Operations Manufacturing Engineer This will include working as an individual technical contributor and as a member of a cross-functional team to include Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operations Manufacturing and Test personnel. In addition, provide technical advice on Operations concepts and Manufacturing Processes. Provide feedback into the Engineering and Systems Engineering departments to resolve any programmatic process issues and participate in continuous process improvement efforts. This position requires: BS degree in Technical Field plus a minimum of 5 years experience in a DoD business environment. Knowledge of Government Specifications Required. Specific Knowledge BS Degree in a technical field related to manufacturing or equivalent experience. - Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. - Interface with Various Engineering groups, Operations Manufacturing and Test as well as Quality Assurance personnel during the assembly process to resolve issues impacting production and ensure product is built per Specifications and within schedule. - Review Engineering Drawings to ensure accuracy and most efficient manufacturing methods are utilized. - Interface with Vendors and Vendor Quality Assurance on drawings to include producibility improvements, interpretation and correction of drawing issues. - Applies knowledge effectively in team environment. Able to accept and integrate constructive feedback. - Demonstrates initiative, applies personal talent to practical solutions
