Required Skills:
Software defined radio experience desired and a strong plus. BS Degree in software engineering with 7+ years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience is required. All candidates must have experience with software development methodology and development environments. Experience with RTOS (Green Hills Integrity and/or VxWorks) is important. Experienced with C, C++, XML, UML Diagrams, object-oriented programming, multi-threaded systems, embedded Real-Time processing, encryption, HAIPE, CORBA, Software Communications Architecture (SCA), Rational tools Requisite Pro, ROSE, ClearCase and ClearQuest. Experience with Software Definable Architectures employing GPPs, DSPs, and FPGAs is important. Ability to use lab equipment (emulators, O-scopes, logic analyzers, comm analyzers), - RF/Communications domain experience a plus. Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to work in a fast paced / dynamic team environment to meet schedules. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance.

The Joint Tactical Radio Systems business unit is looking for software engineers. The ideal candidate for this position will serve as a technical contributor to provide software-engineering for the development of military software-defined radio systems and their modules. As a member of the software engineering team, the responsibilities are to conduct system requirements analysis to derive requirements for Software Requirements Specifications (SRS); design based on SRS requirements for System Design Document (SDD); document and implement the design; write and execute test procedures; support integration test; apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle to support the generation and delivery of the products.
